Our Technician Apprentice Program
The Mike Maroone Apprentice Program (MAP) collaborates with state workforce centers, school districts, post-secondary automotive technician schools and military career transition programs to identify candidates for entry-level technician opportunities in our dealerships.
Requirement for MAP application is 18+ years of age with automotive background. We are seeking candidates who are eager to start a career as an automotive service technician in our dealerships. Mike Maroone Automotive sponsors the related training cost for the duration of the MAP, while incentivizing career specific benchmarks and goals. Mike Maroone Automotive provides a professional learning environment emphasizing new vehicle technology and advanced technical systems supported by our automotive manufacturer partners.
Apprentice Technicians work alongside a master-level mentor technician with the support of the Technician Development Program Coordinator and Service Manager. MAP provides a career path to obtain Master Technician status.
MAP training is delivered in many ways including:
- Web-based manufacturer training specific to the dealership brand.
- In-person training conducted at the dealership and factory training centers.
- Hands on training with mentor.
MAP provides opportunities for professional growth and individual career development. Additional programs include:
